About The Position

Have you worked in a daycare setting, have a teaching degree, or are looking to work with children in a daycare/preschool setting? We are currently hiring both assistant and lead teachers for local daycares and preschools in the Edina, MN area 3-5 days a week from the hours of 8 am-5 pm.
As a Day Care Provider you will:
Care for children in the daycare setting, but you will not be required to transport children.
Create and implement hands-on activities based on your observations of children’s interests and skills
Document and share the special moments and important milestones of the children in your care
Engage children by leading hands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s interests and age-appropriate development.
We will also provide the following:
Receive paid training and a Nanny Kit filled with age-appropriate activities and games that you will bring to childcare assignments.
Enjoy opportunities to advance in the childcare field.
Paid Sick Time for both Part-Time and Full-Time schedules

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• Pass required state and company background checks
• Provide a record of the qualifying number of hours of experience and quarter credits per MN state requirements for an assistant or lead teacher
• CDA certified
• Received your TDAP, COVID, MMR and Flu Shot
• Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
• Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
• Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
• May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
