About The Position

Objectives of this Role Leading crews in shop and on jobsite, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently Train on site

Requirements

  • Ability to identify problems/issues, generate solutions and make sound decisions using standard procedures.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Report to work at the designated start time.
  • Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Be able to work overtime when required.
  • Must have strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Pass a pre-employment DOT physical.
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas.
  • Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1+ years’ experience in the construction field or prior traffic control experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team members daily
  • Be available to answer phone calls on and away from jobsites
  • Read plans and create a plan to complete the job efficiently
  • Review and coordinate project plans with team members and other documentation required for the project
  • Setting up the work zone using the appropriate safety standards
  • Controlling traffic
  • Breaking down and cleaning up the work zone upon completion of the operation
  • Operate equipment, including Forklifts, Skid Steer, Truck & Trailer combo
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain and operate equipment
  • Responsible for quantity sheets
