About The Position

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB To ensure a superior level of customer service; to supervise location in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager; to maintain the quality of merchandising and product presentation within the location.

Requirements

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to work calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize projects
Independent judgment and decision making abilities
High level of integrity
Ability to perform effectively in both individual and team environments
Comprehensive understanding of the company and its products and services
Excellent prioritization and organizational abilities

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service
Direct personnel in their daily tasks as assigned by the location management
Ensure personal stays on task
Develop and work with employees to their potential
Supervise in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager
Approve returns and discounts in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager
Ensure a clean and safe working and shopping environment
Communicate with location management and personnel
Ensure that signing, displays, and safety concerns are addressed and corrected
Perform opening and closing procedures
Approve the morning counts on register tills
Offer assistance and support to location personnel
Perform other tasks and duties as requested by supervising manager
