Loews Hotels & Co has ventured into Kansas City, MO with the new Loews Kansas City Hotel. The 800-room hotel features 60,000 square feet of meeting & function space, with a sky bridge connecting to the 800,000 square foot Kansas City Convention Center. The hotel marks the first hotel catering to groups & meetings to open in more than 20 years in Kansas City. Two signature restaurants, a Grab & Go bakery and a rooftop lounge will round out this all glass, 24 story hotel, which stands out on the city’s skyline. This specific role is an intensive, structured training program will take place over 12 months within the Rooms division. At the conclusion of the program, participants will be prepared with the necessary leadership skills and knowledge to advance into a leadership role within the company. Who You Are: Passionate about hospitality, specifically in the rooms sector. Eagerness to learn and improve leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. Acknowledgement of the Loews Hotels brand principles and adherence to the brand service promise. What You’ll Do: Develop intricate knowledge of different areas of the rooms division by participating in rotations in the following areas for approximately 6 months: Housekeeping and Laundry Reservations Security Engineering Recreation Guest Services and Star Service Valet Front Office Learn operational procedures, best practices, and departmental functions through direct involvement and observations during rotations. Attend workshops and training sessions focused on leadership and management. Work closely with managers and division leaders to gain insights and practical knowledge about leadership and decision-making. Ensure exceptional guest service by understanding and addressing guest needs and concerns. Implement and uphold company standards for guest satisfaction and service quality. Assess and reflect on personal performance and progress with mentor feedback regularly. Collaborate with all Loews Hotels team members and contribute to a positive work environment, while fostering effective communication and teamwork. Progression through the program, with the end result of heightened supervisory and leadership responsibilities. Your Experience Includes: College senior or recent college graduate of a hospitality program. Motivation to combine formal education and knowledge gained within the program.
