UWM's 12-week internship program offers an immersive experience with over 200 interns, job shadowing, access to senior leaders, and extensive networking opportunities. The Leadership Development team at UWM is dedicated to nurturing the growth and advancement of employees at all levels within the organization. The team plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that UWM remains at the forefront of the mortgage industry. Key functions include but are not limited to training programs, leadership development, performance enhancement, learning resources, and innovation. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT This team focuses on cultivating future leaders through targeted programs and initiatives that build advanced leadership capabilities and drive organizational success.

Requirements

  • Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2026 or 2027 (current junior/senior status)
  • The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from May 18th - August 7th
  • An openness to learning, willingness to be coached, and ability to be flexible in our every-changing industry
  • Pursuing a degree in Psychology , Organizational Leadership , Human Resources , or similar fields
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • A strong work ethic
  • A drive to succeed

Responsibilities

  • Researching and creating a team building activity on Servant Leadership for the Leadership Development Team
  • Assisting our Instructional Designers in creating course designs
  • Shadowing trainings and offering feedback on how we can improve
  • Assisting the coordinators in event planning
  • Organizing UWM's leadership library
