About The Position

Supports daily production activities by coordinating work, guiding team members, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role acts as a working lead—performing production work while providing direction to a team and communicating regularly with supervisors to meet production goals.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of AWS D1.5 bridge code
• Ability to pass 3G/4G FCAW weld test
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to follow verbal/written instructions.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers/trainers.
• Manufacturing or construction experience required
• Prior experience leading or mentoring employees required

Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality of the units produced
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Perform hands-on manufacturing work alongside the team as needed.
• Assist in the training of employees
• Assist in troubleshooting problems (equipment, employee and production-related)
• Assist in maintaining production rates
• Communicate with Foreman on a regular and open basis
• On an annual basis, the Gunderson QA manual must be reviewed
