About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Lean Portfolio and Process Integration Manager to join The 777/777X Fuselage Assembly Center (FAC) to create and maintain the master FAC portfolio aligned to the business. These Lean projects play a key role in the businesses’ ability to become more efficient by eliminating waste in the system. The Portfolio and Process Integration Manager will oversee a team that will create an operating rhythm to manage the Lean projects, govern the progress through a gated process, design and own the FAC Oobeya room, and be a coach and mentor for problem solving and continuous improvement throughout the organization. This leader will work cross functionally with all supporting groups to create a cohesive plan of Lean initiatives that will enable the greater team to make our milestone targets. This position will report directly to the 777/777X FAC Senior Director.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of managing or leading a team
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years of experience with Lean manufacturing
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years in coaching and/or practicing the Lean practices
  • 3+ years of experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data
  • 3+ years of experience using Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role
  • Experienced coach and facilitator for leaders and shop teams
  • Strong analytics and validation capability
  • Systems-thinking process designer

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing advanced technical knowledge and leadership to manufacturing projects to resolve production concerns.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
