About The Position

The main purpose of the Learning Ambassador at Sesame Street Learn & Play is to play a pivotal role in creating a positive and memorable learning experience for our guests through a friendly, engaging and enthusiastic approach.

Requirements

  • A background in working with children, either in a prior attraction, experience, or in some sort of educational setting, like a school or daycare.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a retail or attraction setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for education and creating impactful learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Walk guests through the various areas, providing information about the various learning experiences and different rooms of the attraction.
  • Assist visitors with ticket purchases and provide guidance on admission procedures and all the options that are available to them.
  • Resole customer inquiries, concerns or issues in a professional, timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage visitor flow to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment and experience for all guests.
  • Assist in crowd control during peak times or special events to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Train and maintain detailed knowledge of the various learning stations and experiences within the attraction and inform guests about the benefits of each learning station.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize visitor traffic.
  • May perform other duties assigned in other work areas as needed.
  • Guide guests to the exit or provide other instructions and/or assistance in case of emergency.
  • Provide guests with quick and efficient check out experience in the retail gift shop, also assisting with stock checks and inventory.
