About the position

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Learning Management System (LMS) and programs. This role involves overseeing key administrative and strategic duties to ensure the successful operations of a robust learning and development department. This job is based in our Chicago office where we have a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Author and update courses using Articulate or other course publication software, and publish them on the LeadingRE Institute's Docebo platform.
  • Support daily administration of member course pages, groups, and courses.
  • Manage the LMS content lifecycle from course creation to retirement.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks and tests to ensure optimal user experience and system functionality.
  • Test features and courses to provide the best technical and learning experience for members.
  • Ensure timely and effective user support, QA inquiry responses, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop documentation for LMS training and engagement processes.
  • Lead the development of user surveys and other feedback mechanisms, and report findings to key stakeholders.
  • Implement enhancements to the member-facing LMS user experience, including homepage improvements, content organization, and gamification.
  • Serve as the primary contact for third-party LMS service providers, including Docebo and eSkillz.
  • Collaborate with Global and Domestic VP teams to facilitate effective communication regarding member-facing content and training needs.
  • Communicate with members about new Institute offerings and features.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with Enterprise, former Enterprise, and prospective Enterprise members.
  • Lead LMS and program orientation sessions for new members and Enterprise subscribers.
  • Provide administrative support for all LeadingRE learning-based programs (e.g., Annual Conference, Maestro, Sales Manager Bootcamp, Career Gold).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while quickly learning new technologies.
  • Efficiently work with multiple internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently while fostering respectful, customer-service-oriented professional relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Articulate or other course publication software is preferred.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while working effectively with all levels of management and across network membership brokers’ offices and users.
  • Ability to work independently is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Coursework and/or certifications related to learning management system administration are preferred.
  • A systems-oriented mindset is required; previous experience in a system support role is highly preferred.
  • Previous administrative and/or customer service experience is required.
