About The Position

Wydown Property Management is seeking a personable, organized, and motivated Leasing Associate to support our leasing operations of a 20+ property portfolio. This is a 1099 contractor position offering flexible hours (approximately 24 per week) with the potential for full time employment after 6 months based on performance and company needs. The ideal candidate for this role will have a resident-focused mindset and a passion for real estate and property management. This role is integral to driving unit occupancy by assisting with tours, responding to leasing inquiries, and managing the lease application process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; some college or relevant coursework in business, marketing, or real estate preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in leasing, real estate, sales, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with common software tools including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with leasing platforms such as AppFolio, Yardi, OneSite, etc.
  • Must be self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple property locations each work day.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. as a 1099 contractor.
  • The contractor is expected to handle lifting of heavy items, such as boxes, packages, groceries, and property materials.
  • The contractor acknowledges they are solely responsible for ensuring their own physical capability and safety measures to perform such tasks.
  • The contractor agrees to adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while carrying out such activities.
  • Additionally, the contractor is required to possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Any known time-off must be submitted a minimum of two weeks in advance of the date.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and tour prospective tenants, showcasing available units and community features.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
  • Guide applicants through the leasing process, from showing to move-in.
  • Support marketing efforts by prepping materials, posting listings, and tracking leads.
  • Collaborate with the Wydown Management team to support real estate operations and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Promote positive resident interactions and relationships.
  • Ensure available units and common areas are cleaned and showing-ready.
  • Utilize property management software to coordinate tours and resident communications.
