About The Position

As a Leasing Specialist, you'll play an essential role in maintaining high occupancy and delivering an exceptional resident experience. You'll be involved in all aspects of the leasing cycle from first contact to move‑in, and beyond.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service background
• Experience in leasing, sales, and/or marketing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to conduct regular property inspections (with or without accommodations)

Nice To Haves

• Experience and knowledge in Affordable Housing a plus

Responsibilities

• Market and lease apartments to prospective residents, explaining terms and providing helpful local area information
• Market units in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines and the Resident Selection Plan
• Maintain compliance with Affordable Housing Programs
• Track and follow up on prospective tenant leads
• Manage the apartment showing schedule
• Conduct apartment tours and showings
• Prepare and process leases and related documentation
• Lead new resident orientations
• Manage resident move‑in and move‑out processes
• Assist in preparing weekly traffic reports
• Maintain strong resident relations and uphold company and community policies
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and curb appeal
• Report accidents, emergencies, and hazards and complete required reports
• Demonstrate Oakbrook's core values daily
• Perform other duties as assigned
