About The Position

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a highly regarded law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, to hire a seasoned Legal Assistant who brings strong law firm experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to support attorneys in a fast-paced professional environment. This role is ideal for a polished legal administrative professional who understands the importance of precision, confidentiality, and client service. The Legal Assistant will play a key role in keeping attorney workflows organized, deadlines met, and legal documents prepared to the highest standard. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience within a law firm
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including: Word (advanced formatting), Outlook (calendar + communication management), Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience proofreading and preparing complex legal documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Professional communication skills with a high level of discretion and judgment
  • Experience with electronic court filing systems
  • Ability to work onsite in Cleveland, OH

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously in a busy practice
  • Familiarity with legal technology platforms such as: iManage, Nuance/Kofax, InTapp LMS+ or other document management systems
  • Exposure to specialized practice areas such as litigation, probate, or corporate law
  • Experience assisting with CLE tracking, billing coordination, or reimbursement processes

Responsibilities

  • Deliver proactive day-to-day support to attorneys, paralegals, and practice teams
  • Proofread, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and internal materials with accuracy
  • Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings, arrange travel, and manage scheduling logistics
  • Track CLE credits, professional deadlines, and attorney compliance requirements
  • Greet clients and visitors professionally and assist with meeting coordination
  • Handle attorney expense reimbursements and related administrative reporting
  • Electronically file documents with courts and support proper case file organization
  • Assist with time entry, billing support, and responding to client-related inquiries
  • Monitor case deadlines and follow up on pending tasks to ensure timely completion
  • Communicate effectively with court personnel, attorneys, and internal departments
