About The Position

Our US Legal function plays a critical role in enabling commercial growth while safeguarding the company against regulatory, data privacy, and contractual risk. The Summer Legal Intern role is designed for a tech-forward law student looking to enhance legal efficiency, accelerate commercial contracting, and strengthen regulatory defensibility by managing essential but time-intensive Tier 1 legal tasks through the use of modern legal technology.

Requirements

Current law student (1L or 2L preferred) in the Boston area
Strong legal research and writing skills
Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with legal technology tools
Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams and interest in international business
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Interest in healthcare technology, compliance, and commercial contracting
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Contract Lifecycle Management
Utilize CLM tools to extract and track contractual obligations, reporting requirements, renewal triggers, and compliance milestones.
Map contractual terms to operational workflows to ensure alignment with ISO and industry-standard certifications.
Support efforts to reduce contract turnaround time and improve sales velocity through process automation.
HIPAA & Data Privacy Compliance
B2B: Maintain HIPAA compliance repository of Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and monitor regulatory developments related to PHI.
B2C: Research and track evolving state privacy laws (e.g., CCPA, WA My Health My Data) and global privacy laws(e.g., GDPR and UK GDPR).
NDA Redlining & Negotiation
Conduct first-pass redlining of low-level agreements, including owning the negotiation process for Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Support initial negotiation cycles under supervision to streamline legal review processes.
Corporate Research & Legal Operations
Conduct research on legal technology tools and provide actionable recommendations for implementation.
Support corporate governance documentation and structured legal research for strategic initiatives.
Legal team development
Work directly with our global legal headquarters in Paris to ensure alignment between US operations and global corporate strategy.
Participate in the refinement of internal SOPs to streamline cross-border legal workflows and improve organizational efficiency.
Partner with foreign law specialists and international stakeholders to harmonize legal processes across different jurisdictions.
