About The Position
The Legal Intern will be trained on the structure of complex commercial loans and the real estate and personal property collateral. Thereafter, the Legal Intern will assist with loan closings and purchased loan pool closings, loan file management and collateral tracking. The Legal Intern will also assist the Legal Department with special projects designed to improve the Bank’s processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Interest in Commercial Lending
- Interest in Legal Transactional work
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent inter-personal and communications skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to organize large amounts of documents and data
- Proficient with Word
- Familiarity with Excel
Responsibilities
- Assist with loan origination and purchased loan pools closings
- Assist with Uniform Commercial Code filings and tracking
- Assist with assignments of collateral
- Scan, label and organize loan files in the Bank’s document management system
- Assist the Bank with loan file tracking
