About The Position

Oil-Dri Corporation of America (the “Company”) is a leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing sorbent products. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of legal tasks and projects, providing support to our attorneys, business teams, and support functions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance within an in-house corporate setting.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school and have completed at least one academic year towards their law degree.
• Strong academic record demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and theories.
• Relevant coursework in areas such as corporate law, contract law, and legal research.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in corporate law and in-house legal practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and filing of Securities and Exchange Commission forms.
• Review Company press releases and newsletters and other marketing materials.
• Review and provide suggested revisions to corporate policies and procedures.
• Assist with corporate governance related tasks.
• Review, help draft, and work with business partners to prepare commercial agreements.
• Assist with IP related tasks.
• Other duties as assigned by members of the legal team.
