About The Position

This position provides administrative support to the lending officer.

Requirements

• A self-starting individual who possesses a High School Diploma or GED
• At least six months of experience working as an administrative assistant, secretary or with loan documentation at a bank
• Hard working team player with professional attitude and ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to handle several on-going tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Good organizational, interpersonal, communications and customer relation skills
• Attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks
• Ability to work in a stressful environment, and handling frequent interruptions
• Working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel (proficiency is desired)

Nice To Haves

• Prior lending specialist experience of two or more years is desired
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired

Responsibilities

• Entails customer contact in person and by telephone
• Receives customers and loan applications
• Reviews and prepares applications for consideration
• Verifies applicant information
• Types general correspondence, loan agreements and committee presentations
• Reviews non-sufficient fund items as needed, facilitates customer transactions and provides customer information
• Coordinates loan processing
• Monitors maturing loans, past due loans and exceptions to loan agreements
• Responsible for the maintenance and organization of loan files
• Participates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary
• Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy
• Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations
