About The Position

Longhouse Market is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for the graveyard shift. If you’re dependable, observant, and enjoy working nights, we’d love to have you on our team. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Knowledge of safety/security practices and procedures including: emergency first aid, CPR, emergency evacuation, defibrillator, and basic emergency fire equipment.
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
• Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
• Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.

Nice To Haves

• One-year public relations and security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform normal to emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
• Ability to deal with internal/external "customers," some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve problems and concerns.
• Promote customer satisfaction through assistance, direction, information and respond to customer inquiries.
• Observe all surface parking areas.
• Provide assistance to every department within the Longhouse Market.
• Safeguard and protect property, assets, customers, and employees.
• Distribute, stock and replenish on the job injury packets.
• Report any unusual activity, occurrence, or incidents on the part of any customer or employee to the shift supervisor immediately.
• Document and file accurate and truthful incident reports, various logbooks, and other legal documents.
• Provide basic firefighting, first aid and safety response.
• Oversee EMS services.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
