Requirements

VA license or VCEA certification
Alignment with the mission of Catholic education
Bachelor’s degree minimum
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Passion for working with children and fostering a love of learning

Nice To Haves

Library Science background or certification
Experience in a school or educational setting
Familiarity with instructional technology and digital resources
Practicing Catholic (preferred)

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a library program aligned with Diocese of Arlington guidelines
Collaborate with teachers and administrators to integrate literacy, research, and inquiry across all grade levels
Foster a love of reading and promote lifelong learning
Teach information literacy, digital citizenship, and ethical use of resources
Curate and manage library collections based on curriculum and student needs
Integrate technology and innovative tools to enhance learning
Support faculty in embedding critical thinking and research skills into instruction
Maintain an organized, welcoming, and accessible library environment
Guide students and families in locating, evaluating, and using resources effectively
Promote literacy initiatives and school-wide reading culture
