Outpatient Orthopedic & Sports Medicine | Darien, CT A nationally recognized, performance-driven physical therapy organization is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to join its growing outpatient clinic in Darien, Connecticut. The Physical Therapist will evaluate, treat, and educate patients across a broad spectrum of orthopedic, sports, and wellness needs. You’ll work with active individuals of all ages from post-operative patients to competitive athletes using advanced manual therapy techniques, cutting-edge recovery tools, and customized treatment plans designed to restore function and optimize performance.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • Active or eligible Connecticut Physical Therapy license
  • Strong interest in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation
  • Passion for movement, fitness, and an active lifestyle
  • Excellent communication and patient engagement skills

Nice To Haves

  • Manual therapy experience preferred
  • Dry needling and BFR experience a plus (or willingness to train)

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver hands-on, evidence-based physical therapy for orthopedic and sports-related conditions
  • Utilize advanced treatment techniques including:
  • Manual therapy
  • Functional dry needling
  • Blood flow restriction therapy (BFR)
  • Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
  • Therapeutic cupping
  • Joint mobilization and manipulation
  • Incorporate biomechanical assessments, gait and running analysis, and return-to-sport testing
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, trainers, and recovery specialists
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, movement mechanics, and long-term wellness strategies
  • Support group classes, Pilates-based rehab, circuit training, and performance programming as appropriate
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state and payer guidelines
