Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our GI office located in Oneida. The LPN in the Practice Setting is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team while providing patients with exceptional care. Requirements
- New York LPN (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Associate Degree (Preferred)
- BLS/CPR (Preferred)
- Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Preparing patients for appointments with physicians including gathering and recording vital signs and medical history.
- Scheduling appointments for patients.
- Coordinating with after-hours care and inputting information in the patient records and following up.
- Providing clinical advice to patients over the phone or by messaging.
- Assisting providers with appointments and examinations.
- Using a customer service attitude to attend to the needs of patients.
- Following procedure for authorized medication administration and documentation.
- Performing treatments as directed including administering injectables.
- Managing clinic flow and ensuring patients are seen in an orderly manner.
- Maintaining patient records with superb attention to detail.
- Performing equipment checks and stocking supplies.
- Executing physician orders, scheduling follow-up appointments, and facilitating referrals.
- Communicating and collaborating with other members of the clinical team.
- Performing receptionist duties as needed.
