Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school in counseling or related field with a Masters or Doctorate degree
Licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy in Minnesota
Must complete continuing education and professional development beyond formal education as outlined by certifying body

Responsibilities

Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
Interviews, assess/screens, and diagnoses mental health conditions
Delivers high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy
Obtains and documents accurate patient health history
Consults with and refers to other healthcare specialties and departments when indicated
Works in a team-approach with psychologists, psychiatrist, nursing, and support staff
Attends organizational committees and work groups as assigned by supervisor
Other duties as assigned
