About The Position
Come and join our LVN Residency Program! We invite graduate LVN’s to apply for this unique opportunity. The next cohort will begin on July 13, 2026 Integrated into a Hospital’s education structure, the Texas Health LVN Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care. The Texas Health LVN Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new LVN’s an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life. Where you will be working: • Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093, • Work environment: Emergency o Level II Trauma o Comprehensive Stroke o Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team o Texas Health Plano 30-Minute Promise alleviates the worry that comes from long waits in the emergency department • Work hours: Full-time, (3)-12 hour shifts; Rotating weekends and Holidays MORE ABOUT TEXAS HEALTH PLANO: Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and McKinney. We’re a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas with incredible care and amazing people. We specialize in emergency medicine and trauma, cardiology, neurosurgery and spine, advanced orthopedics, women’s services, adult and adolescent behavioral health, an adult intensive care unit and state of the art and technologically advanced surgical services. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program required
- Acceptance into THR residency program required
- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required
Nice To Haves
- Graduated within the last 12 months preferred
- Less than one-year experience at the time the residency begins preferred
- Have not previously completed a THR nursing residency preferred
