White Oak of Rock Hill is a 141-bed skilled nursing facility conveniently located just minutes from Piedmont Medical Center. Our center provides long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services, and our Activity Department plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or working with seniors preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Genuine desire to enhance the lives of residents

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Activity Director with the daily operation of the Activity Department in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Conduct group activities and assist residents in participating in scheduled programs
  • Provide one-on-one activities for residents who are unable or unwilling to attend group programs
  • Help plan, organize, and implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and physical well-being
  • Assist residents to and from activity programs and events
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and evaluate the effectiveness of activities
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of activity calendars, bulletin boards, and announcements
  • Support Resident Council meetings and special events as requested
  • Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and inventory
  • Document resident progress accurately and in a timely manner
  • Promote positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
  • Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities
