Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistant

Pineapple House of Sapphire Lakes is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Memory Care Life Enrichment Assistant to join our family-oriented community. Requirements

• Prior experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field, preferably with seniors or individuals with dementia
• Knowledge of dementia care principles and best practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to be patient, empathetic, and creative in engaging residents
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of residents
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Additional certifications in recreational therapy or dementia care are a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized activity plans tailored to the needs and interests of residents with dementia and other cognitive or physical limitations
• Facilitate engaging recreational and therapeutic activities that promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being
• Foster a supportive and positive environment that encourages social interaction and independence
• Monitor and document residents’ responses to activities, adjusting approaches as needed
• Collaborate with care team members to ensure holistic and consistent care for residents
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting dignity and respect
• Assist in creating a warm, inclusive community atmosphere that reflects the values of kindness and compassion
