About The Position

Reporting to the Lifestyle Supervisor, the Life Enrichment Coordinator creates a positive environment and provides enrichment opportunities for residents to enjoy the highest possible quality of life through meaningful engagement. This position is responsible to plan, organize and implement a wide range of activities and events that supports the mission of Village On The Isle. The Life Enrichment Coordinator is a servant leader who interacts with all staff, residents and family members in a manner that is respectful and collaborative. This is a safety sensitive position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS It is understood that every incidental duty connected with operations listed in the job description is not always specifically described, and that employees, at the discretion of management, may be required to perform duties not within their job descriptions. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to develop, create and implement programs, activities, and lectures with creative out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Two or more years of experience in event planning, recreational management, or related field; preferably working with the independent living senior population preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required.
  • Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, social media platforms and a community technology application preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, task-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is required.
  • Must possess ability (or have a willingness to learn) to set up, maintain and run basic A/V equipment, Community App, and social media outlets (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that a variety of activities and programs are planned to meet the needs and interest of the independent residents and ensures that these services are fully implemented.
  • Ensures that a master calendar of events is maintained and that activities scheduled are coordinated/do not conflict with other services.
  • Maintains bulletin boards for common areas and media services (Internal channels/community App).
  • Assists Chaplain, as requested, in coordinating memorial, worship or special event services.
  • Works with team members to implement new activities including internal and external events and functions to create an enriching environment for residents.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely information about events, trips and activities are maintained in a format that is most effectively communicated to our residents, families, and staff.
  • Flexible work schedule as required, which includes nights, weekends, or holidays when applicable.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
