Lifeguard - Carilion Wellness Botetourt
About The Position
The Lifeguard continuously monitors members behavior to ensure safety at the outside/inside pool and spa and maintains standards of cleanliness and pool chemical balances. Maintains cleanliness and enforces rules of outside/inside pool and spa area(s). Ensures all safety regulations are being adhered to for members safety. Checks on chemical balance of pools and spa. Operates pumps, vacuum, backwash and draining when needed. Teaches swimming lessons when needed. Wears proper uniform. Notifies manager if any questions and/or problems arise. If unable to work a scheduled shift, follows proper procedure to find a replacement.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of high school education. Work permit required if under 18 years of age.
- Six months previous lifeguard experience preferred.
- Lifeguard, AHA BLS-HCP and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire, Water Safety Instructor (WSI) preferred.
