About The Position

Under the general direction of the director and/or the head lifeguard, the
Lifeguard functions as a lifeguard providing supervision of pool activities when
on duty. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to
maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the
mission and philosophy of Organization. Contributes to the effective operation
of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance. Exhibits
the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust)

Requirements

• Maintains knowledge of all safety, maintenance, and other equipment appropriate to the job.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a lifeguard preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and promote safe environment for aquatic activities.
• Assists with facility cleanliness (pool water, deck, etc.).
• Demonstrates ability to test water chemistry as required and handle fecal/vomit emergencies.
• Contributes to the effective operations of the Wellness Center by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
• Promotes EMRMC philosophy of quality of care.
• Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills.
• Contributes to the achievement of the mission, vision, and values of the Organization.
• Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
