This position supports pop-up and intermittent in-person educational programming across TPT’s viewing area, focusing mainly on summer library-based events and interacting with children, parents, and caregivers. This role works approximately 30 hours per week and is a temporary role from June 2026 to August 2026. Anticipated schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm working at community library sites. Rate of Pay: $23 per hour Benefits: Employees in this role are eligible to participate in company retirement savings plan. MAJOR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (95% of time) In partnership with Lifelong Learning staff: Staff events that support TPT’s mission around lifelong learning, particularly during summer months. Travel to sites across the Twin Cities metro and occasionally greater Minnesota. Set-up and tear-down of tabling configuration and activities. Pack, refresh and organize activities, noting where more or different materials are needed. Support purchasing and transport of new materials. Implement activities in an age-appropriate and upbeat manner. Suggest new activities and/or iterations on existing activities, based on community needs and strengths. Interact with children, parents and caregivers. Answer and/or refer questions about TPT writ large. Act as a professional and positive TPT ambassador. Serve as guide/companion for PBS costumed characters Serve (in a rotating fashion) as site leader for different events. Other duties as assigned (5% of time) Participate as an active member of the Lifelong Learning Team. Contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities. Other duties as assigned.
