About The Position

The Lift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently moving large mobile tanks and containers throughout the facility using heavy‑capacity forklifts and yard mules. This role supports terminal operations by handling materials, assisting with general labor needs, and contributing to overall team effectiveness. This is a key operational position in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused terminal environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts or similar heavy equipment.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and within enclosed spaces, as necessary for tank handling.
• Basic understanding of mechanical valves and related equipment used in tank and container systems.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in an outdoor environment, including exposure to rain, heat, cold, and other weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe operating practices.
• Ability to lift, move, or handle materials as required for daily operations.
• Promote positive work habits including effective and timely communication, teamwork and respect for co-workers.
• Provide constructive guidance to other employees and representatives of third parties.
• Contribute to providing the highest quality of products and services to customers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with 15,000 lb. (15K) empty lifts and 60,000 lb. (60K) heavy lifts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive heavy‑capacity forklifts (empty and loaded) to move large mobile tanks and containers within the terminal.
• Operate yard mule equipment to position, relocate, or stage containers and other materials.
• Load and unload materials from trailers, storage areas, and designated work zones.
• Conduct pre‑operation and post‑operation inspections of all equipment to ensure safe working condition.
• Assist with terminal operations tasks as assigned, including general labor and material handling duties.
• Follow all safety procedures, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and dispatch to maintain smooth daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and designated storage locations.
