About The Position
The technician is responsible for performing either x-rays, laboratory tests or other diagnostic tests (ECG, EKG’s) PFT, Holter Monitoring, Stress Test, Pulse Oximetry, Tympanograms and routine screenings ordered by a clinic physician.
Requirements
- HS Diploma and/or GED is required.
- Must have completed a medical assistant or similar program which includes x-ray curriculum.
- Must have successfully passed a limited scope examination deemed appropriate by the Radiological Board or by the Arkansas State Board of Health.
- Knowledge of radiographic examinations to be technically proficient in (1) chest; (2) skulls; (3) spines; (4) extremities.
- Must have a knowledge of radiographic equipment operations and radiation safety.
- Must also be knowledgeable about patient transfers and positioning techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer 1 year radiologic experience.
