About The Position

BASIC PURPOSE & SCOPE Responsible for performing various tasks involved in the preparation and packaging of bake and dough products. Contributes to the day to day expectations of production, including good quality, output rates and maintaining a safe work environment. Includes following these Food safety and communication requirements. 1. Must follow all allergen guidelines, i.e. containers, aprons and utensils. 2. Must follow GMP requirements. 3. Communicate with following shift any information critical to production. Hours may change depending on production needs. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Oven Feeder: Place trays of dough disks (and empty trays) on oven conveyor to assure a continuous flow of bake product. Ensure parchment paper is straight and in the center of tray. Look for foreign material and proper arrangement with no overlapping trays. Required to wear gloves while working. Tray Puller: Removes trays of frozen cookies from racks, and places trays of cookies on de-racking conveyor at a pace to match packaging machine speed. Adjusts speed to match speed of machine loader. Watches for foreign material and quality of product. Cleans up parchment when machine goes down. Must wear blue and or orange gloves and watch for unfrozen product. Machine Loader: Inspects for quality, foreign material and loads cookies into the packaging machine according to speeds and product specifications. Assists with changeovers. Boxer: Places packages of cookies in boxes according to product specifications; inspects for quality of product and unacceptable package seals, count and other defects. Re-work unacceptable cookie packages. Boxes need to be marked with colored crayon. Needs to be aware of case rejects at case weigher. Rover/Palletizer: Works at various tasks to assure the smooth operation of packaging process. Pulls cookie racks from freezer; re-works rejected cases; loads case erector; inspects finished cases for complete print and date code. Places pallets at end of packaging line and ensures pallet is clean and not broken. Places full cases on pallets with slip sheets, in the correct pallet position. Shrink wrap top of finished pallets tightly. Dough Catcher: Places full sheets of cookie disks in boxes; looks for foreign material, missing cookie disks, and verifies dough bag is clean, uncontaminated and folded correctly.
