About The Position

Our Pearl Street location is looking for a part time line cook that has availability Thursday-Sunday afternoon/evening/ The Line Cook is required to prepare the menu to the standards of service at Chook. They are responsible for the station’s workflow, cleanliness and timeless of preparation so all guests receive their food on time. They will also oversee the cooking and preparation process from start to finish to determine how much time is need to properly complete each item. Line Cooks will be trained on multiple stations, Hot Apps, Salads and Rotisserie. Chook has made a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. Responsibilities

  • Acts as a representative for Chook by greeting all staff and guests in a friendly manner.
  • Correctly prepares food with Chooks standards of service.
  • Reports food waste to restaurant management.
  • Maintains a clean workstation and restaurant while on shift.
  • Performs pre-shift side work duties, running side work throughout shift, and closing or end of shift side work with attention and care.
  • Knows how to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adheres to food safety regulations at all times.
  • Fills in any role that may be needed during a shift.
  • Appropriately asks questions when necessary.
  • Appropriately asks for help when necessary.
  • Follows all safety procedures at Chook.
  • Follows all health code and proper food handling standards.
  • Arrives on time for all shifts in a clean uniform with good personal hygiene.
