About The Position
The Belted Goat is a lively café and market at the heart of Fearrington Village, known for fresh, seasonal food, artisanal products, and a welcoming atmosphere. We serve a high volume of guests daily and pride ourselves on quality, consistency, and a strong team culture. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working with a team, staying organized under pressure, and producing consistently high-quality food.
Requirements
- Previous line cook experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Dependable and punctual
- Must be available to work weekends (Wednesday–Sunday schedule)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items for breakfast, lunch, and occasional evening service
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards
- Work efficiently during high-volume service periods
- Keep a clean, organized, and well-stocked station
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with prep and closing duties as needed
