About The Position

Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced and motivated Line Cook candidates to support kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This Line Cook role is ideal for individuals passionate about food quality, teamwork, and delivering a strong guest experience. Steakhouse experience is preferred.

Requirements

  • Previous line cook or restaurant experience required (steakhouse preferred)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs
  • Work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to taste, smell, read, write, and speak basic English
  • Fast-paced casino kitchen environment with exposure to noise, flashing lights, and secondhand smoke
  • Drug- and alcohol-free workplace

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner across multiple stations
  • Plate and garnish dishes to meet quality and presentation standards
  • Carve meats and prepare omelets on buffet lines
  • Rotate through kitchen stations while maintaining clear team communication
  • Follow production sheets and maintain food consistency and quality
  • Keep workstations, walk-in coolers, and prep areas clean and organized
  • Maintain proper food rotation and par levels
  • Handle special requests from chefs and guests
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and uniform standards
