Parma Tavern in Buford is Looking for Line Cooks! We offer an eclectic mix of Italian-inspired pub grub, stone oven pizzas cooked in our 600-degree brick oven, fresh pasta with made-from-scratch sauces, house-ground burgers, and small plates perfect for sharing. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards. Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Follows proper Dress Code and SERV safe/Health Department guidelines.
  • Line Checks and Temperature Log structure followed.
  • Follow all the recipes and build sheets every time.
  • Prepare and cook food items according to our restaurant's recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Ensure that food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are completed on time
  • Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies as needed
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
  • Assists in food prep assignments and dishwashing during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Opening and/or closing the kitchen properly and following the checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening and/or closing the kitchen.
  • Helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, prep, walk-ins, restrooms, dish areas, and outside areas through the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning lists.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty.
