The primary focus is to lead lines in the Upholstery department on scheduled shift to be proactive and seek excellence daily with minimal supervision and by exercising independent judgment, supports Operations by managing and coaching a team of associates to meet departmental goals in Safety, Quality, Service and Cost. The Line Supervisor (Upholstery) position is in Booneville, MS. You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will.... The selected candidate will need to understand and convey Key Performance Indicators (KPI), as well as understanding the downstream consequences of missed KPIs while understanding and supporting company policies and standards by training, emphasizing, enforcing, and leading by example. Provide onboarding and on the job training to associates by utilizing Williams-Sonoma's Mission, Vision, and Values to lead daily quality activities, including managing a team of quality associates on daily activities. Use Microsoft Office programs to create reports, analyze and generate communications to management while supporting the operations with determining staffing levels for departmental functions. Share business information with teammates through floor presence and effective verbal and written communication while promoting safety awareness and cultivate the safety culture throughout the company. Ensure the maintaining of a clean and safe work environment; communicate safety topics and conduct safety audits. Ensure quality standards of materials so that the quality team can perform their duties with maximum efficiency and minimal downtime to control and maintain steady workflow on the floor by ensuring all functions within the department are staffed with adequate headcount - partner with Operations and assign and transfer associates around by skill set to balance the flow if necessary. Ensure downtime issues including systematic and mechanical are addressed as soon as they arise through the correct channels and track quality, research and resolve issues, provide feedback on productivity and quality related performance to associates, peers and Operations Managers by using departmental resources. Adopt and endorse continuous improvement concepts where applicable and assist root cause analysis on issues pertaining to safety, service, quality, and cost issues. Perform any other duties as assigned with a positive attitude and willing spirit to assist others in the department, facility, and the organization.
