About The Position

Oklahoma Electric Cooperative in Norman, OK is accepting applications for 2026 Summer & Fall Lineman internships.

Summer Internships will likely start in May or June and run for approximately 8-16 weeks.

Fall Internships will likely start in September and run for approximately 8-16 weeks.

Lineman Interns will gain hands-on experience in overhead and underground construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate of, Electric Power Line Technology (or similar) degree or certificate program
• Trained and certified in climbing
• Trained and certified in First Aid and CPR
• Basic electricity knowledge
• Have and maintain Class A CDL or will obtain prior to graduation
• Live in OEC service territory during the internship
