As a Bartender for Links Bar & Grill at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will execute beverage service and all the components involved at the highest level. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 to serve alcohol
- Minimum one year of bartending experience in fine dining; extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer required
- Flexible schedule required, including availability on Fridays and Saturdays
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry
- Ability to obtain necessary licenses; bartending certificate required
- Must lift trays up to 35 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and understanding portion sizes
- Proficient in English for guest communication and order taking; basic writing skills for requisitions and balance sheets
Responsibilities
- Fully understands the drink menu, wine list, ingredients, and preparation
- Responsible for the complete service at the bar and lounge
- Maintains a constant flow of soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the dining room
- Meticulously cleans and resets the bar and lounge during and after meal
- Has the ability to use the POS efficiently and manage bar inventory
- Must be proficient in multi-tasking and managing designated stations
- Must comply with opening and closing duties as well as running side work necessities
- Must directly and consistently communicate with the culinary and management team
- Processes guest’s checks and submits closing paperwork in a timely manner
- Listens to and resolves customer complaints regarding service, product, and personnel
- Must effectively delegate service responsibilities to the assisting staff such as to bussers
- Perform other duties as assigned
