Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated Linux Applications Administrator to join our team and work alongside a diverse group of talented professionals dedicated to mission success. The Linux Applications Administrator provides application administration support for Linux-hosted applications within the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) Enterprise Infrastructure. This role is responsible for the lifecycle management of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, including installation, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, updates, logging, and patching. The administrator serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DTMO supported Linux applications, supporting users and IT leadership. Key technologies include Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Apache, Tomcat, LDAP, Oracle Unified Directory, Red Hat Single Sign-On, and Splunk. Responsibilities also include monitoring the DTMO Passport website and applications during core business hours (0600–2200 ET, Monday–Friday) and providing on-call support for critical incidents outside those hours. The role works closely with DMDC IT System Administrators, supports disaster recovery testing, participates in Governance Board activities, and follows ITIL best practices for incident management and root cause analysis.
