About the position
As a Linux Software Developer at TransUnion, you will be part of the team responsible for improving and maintaining the big data search engine, TLOxp. This cutting-edge technology filters through billions of public and proprietary records to provide actionable information to customers. Your role will involve code maintenance, system administration, customer support, and developing new features for the TLO batch system. You will be expected to research and resolve complex programming issues, implement long-term solutions, and ensure the quality of the code used. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effectively communicating problems, solutions, updates, and project status to peers, customers, and management.

Requirements
- Experience with C++ and/or Python programming languages
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred, with 3+ years of systems/applications experience, or equivalent technical work experience
- Experience programming in a Linux environment strongly preferred
- Proficient understanding of SVN or GIT preferred
- Experience working in an Agile environment preferred
