About The Position

Linux Systems Administrator The Opportunity: Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We’re looking for a Linux System Administrator to help us ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical systems and implement automation to streamline operations. As a Linux Systems Administrator on our team, you’ll install, configure, and maintain Linux servers in physical and virtual environments, develop and maintain automation for routine tasks, monitor system performance, and implement security hardening. You’ll learn how to help clients overcome challenges through monitoring and performance management. You’ll analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical environment. You’ll combine your technical knowledge and communication skills to turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in virtualization, configuration management, automation, networking, system design and architecture. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Linux systems administrator
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual Linux servers such as RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu
  • Experience monitoring system performance, including CPU, memory, or disk usage, using tools such as Nagios or Zabbix to ensure maximum uptime
  • Experience developing and maintaining scripts in Bash or Python to automate repetitive tasks, backups, and deployments
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or IT field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Knowledge of implementing security measures such as SELinux, firewalls, patching, and hardening to protect against threats and ensure compliance
  • RHCSA, RHCE, or CompTIA Linux+ Certification
