About The Position

Position Function: One primary responsibility is to ensure immediate production of reports requested in response to the Foster Care Lawsuit. This position will ensure deadlines are met as required and will work under the supervision of the Director of Child Safety and Legal Compliance. This position works closely with the Permanency Department, the Data Department, Training Department, the Care Coordination Department and any other internal departments as needed to ensure accurate and complete data collection occurs. A priority for this position will be to ensure the collection and facilitating of reports occur in the most streamlined and prompt manner. A secondary responsibility of this position is to facilitate the compliance with the Foster Care Lawsuit in manners such as: obtaining Attachment As, ensuring child safety staffing’s are scheduled and conducted timely, reviewing documentation for completion, and other tasks as assigned. This position will work with different departments to ensure a streamlined approach is taken to ensure the least-impact is made to the front-line staff. This position will require an ability to follow up with tasks, prompt staff to complete pending tasks, assist with completion of tasks, and reporting as tasks are completed. Working Conditions: Frequent computer usage/typing required. Walking and/or driving to different ACH/OCOK locations for in-person meetings and follow-up. Communication by email, phone and virtual platforms occurs regularly. Exposure to Confidential Information: This position involves exposure to confidential information about clients, personnel, and proprietary company practices. All confidential and sensitive information must be managed per company policy and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One or more years’ experience in child protective services, project management, data collection, policy development or related administrative work
  • Entry level experience with IMPACT.
  • Competence with EXCEL software.
  • Competence in other MS Office software products.
  • Experience working with pressure situations that require immediate responsiveness, adaptivity through-out the activity and time-sensitive response.
  • Experience with both verbal and written forms of communication.
  • Ability to work effectively across departmental units and with external partners to coordinate data tracking, collection, and reporting activities.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires a capability of learning about the Foster Care Lawsuit and being familiar with the Remedial Orders.
  • Involves time-sensitive response with multiple departments and staff.
  • The ability to problem-solve, quickly adapt and develop creative, collaborative approaches to meet each request is essential.
  • Requires situational awareness in assessing staff’s current workloads and how that will impact their ability to respond to any request and adjusting the approach to achieve the goal without disrupting staff’s work with children and families, which may include direct assistance to staff in order to complete tasks.
  • Requires sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population we serve and a passion for working with children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and organize all time sensitive requested data collection, as mandated by DFPS or OCOK leadership.
  • Meet deadlines as required by DFPS or OCOK leadership.
  • Assist with data entry as required for completion of each compliance request & in support of staff, as needed.
  • Assist all internal parties, when needed, to meet the required data collection activity.
