About The Position

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 States, has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary in its Dallas office. The qualified candidate must have a significant understanding of Texas Court rules, docketing and e-filing procedures in both Federal & State Courts. Ideal candidates should also have five or more years of experience working in a fast-paced defense firm. This is a full-time position. Requirements

  • Experience as a litigation-focused legal administrative assistant required.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage competing demands from multiple attorneys, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong technical, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with and knowledge of e-filing in state and federal court.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • Experience with Milana a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative responsibilities and collaborate with attorneys, legal support staff and various firm departments.
  • Open new matters, interface with and establish ongoing positive business relationships with clients.
  • Create, format, edit, proofread, and manage Word documents.
  • Draft routine correspondence and forms.
  • Track, organize, and process expense reports, reimbursements, and check requests using Chrome River.
  • Manage and maintain lawyers’ schedules and calendars.
  • Other duties as assigned.
