FEB is seeking a detail oriented, proactive legal para-professional to support our Legal team with subpoena processing, litigation management, and overall legal operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the center of legal workflows and partnering closely with attorneys, strategic partners, and outside counsel.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with a banking or fintech background.
  • Experience reviewing and responding to subpoenas, court orders, or legal demands.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfort working with confidential information and exercising sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with outside counsel.
  • Background in consumer lending, financial services, banking, or fintech.
  • Understanding of data privacy, electronic discovery, or document management tools.
  • Experience managing vendor contracts, drafting legal correspondence, and reviewing company organizational documents.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, log, and track subpoenas, court orders, and other legal requests directed to the Bank.
  • Coordinate document collection and responses with internal teams, strategic partners, and outside counsel.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant responses in accordance with legal requirements and Bank procedures.
  • Maintain subpoena and legal request tracking tools, case files, and record-retention documentation.
  • Assist in managing litigation matters, including maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and organizing discovery materials.
  • Support communications with outside counsel and strategic partners and facilitate the exchange of documents and information.
  • Help prepare summaries, chronologies, and internal status updates.
  • Update litigation trackers and support reporting to Bank leadership.
  • Support Legal Department workflows, including document management, process improvement initiatives, and legal technology tools.
  • Help maintain Legal SharePoint or other repositories for contracts, litigation, and legal reference materials.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal procedures, templates, and internal guidance.
  • Assist attorneys with contract review, contract tracking, and administrative support for transactional matters.
  • Help manage signature processes, contract databases, and post-execution filing.
