About The Position

Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as a Poucher Operator on our processed Loaf cheese line. The main focus of this position is to ensure packaging is assembled to specification and arrives in good condition to area where cheese product is located. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent Math and Reading skills
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Ability to work independently on assigned duties
Strong mechanical aptitude
Adaptable to sudden changes
Work as part of a team
Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

Responsibilities

Obtain proper cases for packing off product, check to assure the proper case label using the production schedule.
Obtain proper individual package labels needed by using the production schedule and load label machine.
Adjust labeler for proper label placement.
Assemble a case ensuring the label is opposite the case dater print heads.
Place cheese into cases, inspecting the product for quality and the package for label appearance, if applicable.
Inform Lead if belt stops, recheck product through the metal detector.
Help with any cleaning or sanitizing of production equipment and assist with reassembly
Bring any supplies needed during production.
Place inedible tubs where needed.
Get rework tubs ready for production (sanitize and lubricate)
Open rework or trim for the grinding room, if needed.
Help in grinding room with the grinding or barrel hanging, if needed.
Refill lid sheets on loaf line machine.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion, sweep, and clean work area.
Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.
Other duties as assigned
Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
