About The Position

Banesco USA is seeking a Loan Operations QC Admin for our Loan Operations unit. Responsible for conducting internal quality control audit in the loan operations department and reviews and modifies the daily work and file maintenance to ensure the integrity of loan portfolio and prevent loss. Responsible for identifying errors and discrepancies in residential and commercial loans prior to booking and funding in order to mitigate risk and prevent loss. Responsible for preparing a log for the tracking of errors, the source of the error (employee, system etc.) and managing the resolution of the errors, prior to loan closing. Review daily reports including but not limited to residential and commercial pipeline reports, exception items, new loans, loan file maintenance and transactions, to assure control and integrity of the loan transactions posted. Responsible to ensure review of the real estate taxes, insurance required, title commitment and appraisals are ready to be input in the system and information to be tracked for all items is correct or corrected prior to submitting to the core systems. Review and update n-CINO, Encompass, Errors and Pipeline Log and other related reports on a weekly basis and analyze discrepancies and pending items. Review and analyze recurring errors in the loan operations department to determine if adequate procedures are in place and recommends changes to procedures as needed. Review the credit files of new loans to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to closing and before they assign loans/requests to the Loan Operations team. Assists the Loan Operations department in gathering the documents for internal and external audits. Review processes and recommend improvements as needed. This position will cross train and serve as backup for Loan Quality Control Administrator. Assist the VP, Loan Operations Officer Loan Operations Asst. Manager or in other duties and projects as assigned. Responsible for completing annual training program assigned. Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree in business administration preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in the Banking industry and 3 years in the Loan Operations or Loan Quality Control area.
  • Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Knowledge in banking systems including but not limited to Jack Henry, NCINO and Encompass.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
  • Customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, in order to ensuring compliance with department procedures.
  • Intermediate knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
  • Ability to understand and comprehend instructions, procedures and policies ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills in order to identify problems.
