Position Description: We are searching for a full-time, in-office Loan Processing Manager to work in our Amarillo, Texas location. This position oversees the work of a team responsible for processing and servicing consumer and ag lending loan packages. Assists in the management of the maintenance, preparation, verification, documentation review and/or processing of loans and loan-related documents. Working with legal counsel, supports in the management of the preparation, interpretation, and evaluation of legal opinions for new and existing loans. Collaborates on the development of new loan programs, and automated loan systems as well as facilitates new processes and products to meet Department and Association needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field and five (5) or more years’ experience in all facets of loan processing including closing requirements, title examination, collateral evaluation, and lien perfection.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • General knowledge of the following:
  • Expert knowledge of title insurance
  • Expert knowledge of real estate security legal requirements, Truth-in-Lending Act regulations and procedures, FSA requirements, and loan processing procedures
  • Expert knowledge of documentation requirements for title policies, deeds of trust, and collateral
  • Skill in oral and written communication
  • Skill in providing customer service
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications
  • A high level of independence is expected

  • Ag lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the pipeline of loans and servicing actions in progress to ensure that loans are processed in a timely manner, and that departmental production goals are met.
  • Works to ensure that all processing activities are operationally compliant.
  • Supervises the loan processing and loan servicing staff in their daily operations to meet the needs of the Association.
  • Assists legal counsel in the management of all loan closing activities.
  • Manages the preparation, interpretation and evaluation of legal opinions for new and existing loans and servicing actions.
  • Ensures loan-related reporting and database are maintained in accordance with FCA Regulations, consumer regulations as well as departmental policy and procedures.
  • Collaborates with other association departments in developing and implementing new loan programs and automated loan systems that meet the needs of the department and association.
  • Facilitates development of new processes and products to meet the needs of the department and the association.
  • Monitors the use and development of loan servicing instruments, assessment and processes for existing portfolio.
  • Answers questions regarding the use and completion of documents.
  • Assists in the implementation of new loan servicing programs to meet the needs of the Association.
  • Assists with the development of standards, best practices and operating procedures consistent with Association policy and FCA regulations.
  • Provides for training of office staff on loan servicing and closing requirements.
  • Monitors results of internal audits for areas needing improvement and additional training opportunities within the department.
