About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, organized, and service‑driven individual to join our Loan Documentation team. This role is responsible for the preparation, quality control, and delivery of loan documentation across all loan types and regions of the bank. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of banking experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic understanding of key banking regulations (HMDA, RESPA, TRID, Reg B, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in a high‑detail environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills; able to use available resources effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload independently.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in direction, workflow, or loan priorities without frustration.
  • Capacity to multi‑task and maintain accuracy during interruptions.
  • Commitment to long‑term growth within the role and organization.
  • Positive, team‑oriented approach and willingness to learn new processes over time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Laser Pro documentation software.
  • Prior experience in mortgage, loan operations, or financial services processing.
  • Background in consumer banking roles such as Universal Banker, Teller, or Personal Banker.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate loan documentation for consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans in accordance with approval terms.
  • Perform detailed review of checklists and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy of borrower information, fees, collateral, disclosures, payment structure, and other key data.
  • Input loan information into various operating systems, including Laser Pro and the core processing system.
  • Ensure documentation complies with state laws, bank policy, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements (TRID, RESPA, HMDA, etc.).
  • Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards, including BSA and GLBA.
  • Support lenders with questions related to loan processes, documentation, or system usage.
  • Meet all documentation delivery deadlines to support timely loan closings.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve documentation issues or missing information.
  • Complete corrections to loan files as needed.
  • Participate in peer quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain department checklists, worksheets, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor and manage the department’s shared email inbox, ensuring timely responses and routing of requests.
  • Provide customer‑service support to branches and internal partners.
  • Assist with organizing and tracking incoming loan requests and assigning items for processing.
  • Help maintain smooth workflow within the department, especially during high‑volume periods.
