About The Position

Alabama Ag Credit is a financial institution that provides financing for agriculture, agribusiness and rural real estate purchases and improvements. The institution is headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, with ten offices that service the lower 40 counties of Alabama. With over $1.5 billion in assets, the institution is a cooperative and part of the nationwide Farm Credit System. At the discretion of Alabama Ag Credit, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Applicants will have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with a good understanding of accounting principles, an understanding of the fundamentals of loan processing procedures, knowledge of loan documentation and title/trust requirements, excellent oral and written communication, and computer literacy.
• Applicants must be detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of title insurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing loan closing and servicing documentation packets, to include insurance forms, loan forms, and flood certificates.
• Researches borrower and collateral history including tax liens.
• Assists the Loan Officer with coordinating the date/time/place of closing.
• Keeps the Loan Officers abreast of loan closing preparation process and closing progress.
• Reviews post-closing documents to include notes, mortgages, and assignments.
