About The Position

DT Professional Services is looking for a Logistician I to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona at our Norco, CA location. This role will analyze and oversee the organizations supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and, when necessary, discontinuation. Responsible for overseeing the life cycle of a product, including purchase, distribution, internal allotment, release and final clearance of resources. Will help streamline operations and identify the most efficient way to use the department’s resources to achieve its goals.

Requirements

Active Secret clearance.
2+ years of related experience.
Extensive knowledge of acquisitions and distribution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, relational databases and ERP systems.
Familiarity with supply chain processes, to include but not limited to inventory and warehouse management.
Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field.

Responsibilities

Communicates with customers and/or support staff to understand customer’s needs and to ensure those needs are met.
Coordinates availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
Creates and/or deploys project management tools and systems; implements plans, schedules, and compliance metrics.
Collects or oversees the collection of product and project performance data; analyzes data for further product development and improvement.
Verify goods reach their destination in a timely manner.
Develop forecasting plan t maintain sufficient inventory.
Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules.
Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, production time, and other areas lacking efficiency; recommends improvements.
Prepares reports and presents project plans, progress, and results.
Collaborate with IT and Engineering professionals to implement effective systems.
Performs other related duties, as required.
